With the procedure of legitimizations continues the trial for Tempi, without the tensions of the previous days that had been created due to the small capacity of the courtroom.

In total, those present for the support of the accusation as they appear in the indictment are 230, the witnesses 122 and the total number of the accused 36.

As reports “Kathimerini”, in the previous hearing a request was submitted by the lawyer of relatives of victims and president of Plefsi Eleftherias, Zoi Konstantopoulou, for the audiovisual coverage and transmission of the trial, with the court reserving its position until the legitimization of all the lawyers is completed, in order, if they wish, to position themselves on the request.

The procedure of legitimizations is the check that the parties and the lawyers have legal right of participation and representation before the trial starts.

For this request Zoi Konstantopoulou positioned herself, stating that “the madam prosecutor informed us of her objection, we consider this statement worrying that does not consent, it is obvious that there are mechanisms that want to hide elements. The initially responsible head of the prosecution suffered the disappearance and the discovery of her dead son. Obscuration does not help, on the contrary such a proposal serves those who want and can exploit the lack of information”.

Meanwhile, the lawyer of two passengers, Tasos Abatzidis and Stathis Karran, who remained on the train to save other passengers, stated that they were never called as witnesses, despite how important their testimonies were.
