Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides has announced a Cabinet reshuffle, making changes to the Council of Ministers as well as new appointments to commissioner posts and the Presidential Office.
According to a statement from the Presidency, President Nikos Christodoulides appointed Evanthia Tsolaki as Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Christos Senekis as Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Tina Pavlou as Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, and Klea Papaellina as Deputy Minister of Culture.
Evi Tsolaki was a runner-up parliamentary candidate for DIKO, while Christos Senekis served as a DIKO MP from 2021 to 2026.
President Nikos Christodoulides also appointed Ilias Myrianthous as Commissioner for the Environment and Animal Welfare, Eirini Poyiatzi as Commissioner for Citizens’ Rights, and Panayiotis Palates as Director of the Presidential Office. Palates is a member of the Democratic Party (DIKO).
With the appointments of Evi Tsolaki, Christos Senekis and Panayiotis Palates, as well as the appointment of Michalis Damianou in December 2025, DIKO now has four members serving in the Christodoulides government.
The new appointees will be sworn in at the Presidential Palace on Thursday, 6 August, at 9:30 a.m.
