The time needed to conclude a case at Greece’s Council of State fell by nine months over a two-year period, according to data obtained by Kathimerini. The average time to complete a case fell from 1,232.45 days in 2023 to 971.86 days in 2025.
Over the same period, the number of pending cases fell by 12%, from 11,504 to 10,126. In total, 1,378 cases were cleared over the two years.
The most significant change was in the average completion time, which fell from 1,232.45 days in 2023 to 963.39 days in 2024. It rose slightly to 971.86 days in 2025, but remained around 260 days lower than in 2023.
