Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has boosted bookings for trips to Greek destinations associated with the film, with weekly bookings to Greece rising by 18% following the movie’s release, according to easyJet holidays.
Corfu recorded the strongest increase, with bookings up 28% and searches rising 9% in the first week of August. Searches also increased for the Peloponnese (12%), Zakynthos (7%) and Kefalonia (8%).
At the same time, as the film’s shooting locations and themed itineraries stretch across the Mediterranean, the same travel group also recorded higher demand for Sicily, with bookings up 8%, while searches increased by 10% for Catania and 9% for Palermo.

In these destinations, as well as other locations in Greece associated with the film, special accommodation packages have also been introduced, helping to further boost demand.
