Russia launched a new wave of attacks on Ukraine early this morning using aircraft and drones, killing 4 people.
Yesterday’s attack was the largest of its kind on Ukrainian energy infrastructure since the war began, resulting in at least 7 deaths. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that air defenses shot down 201 of the 236 aerial weapons (drones and missiles) launched by Russia.
On August 6, Ukraine began an operation to capture territory in Russia’s Kursk region.
The President of Ukraine warned that Kyiv would respond after the country was struck by another round of Russian raids overnight and said that rescue operations are underway.
According to today’s Telegram reports, intense battles are ongoing along the Russian border as Ukrainian forces attempt to invade the southern Belgorod region.
