Once again, the student factions did not announce unified results [1], [2], [3], [4] for the elections, which saw a lower voter turnout compared to last year.
This morning, DAP-NDFK announced the following result with 98.82% of the votes counted: DAP-NDFK came first with 40.4%, followed by Panspoudastiki with 23.07%. PASP placed third with 14.84%, and EAAK came fourth with 5.82%.
On the other hand, PKS announced the following results with 100% of the votes counted: PKS came first with 33.64%, DAP-NDFK second with 23.93%, PASP third with 10.88%, and EAAK fourth with 8.89%.
Out of the 450,963 active students (361,888 undergraduate and 89,075 postgraduate), about 45,000 voted, resulting in a voter turnout of 10%.
In a statement, the Secretary of the Central Committee of KNE praised the “election of Panspoudastiki K.S. as the leading force for the 4th consecutive year nationwide,” while criticizing the “desperate attempt to ‘manipulate’ the results” and accusing DAP-NDFK of a “rampant fraud, bribery, and blackmail,” which “demonstrates their panic and defeat.”
On the other hand, DAP stated: “For yet another year, students gave a clear response, choosing truth and logic within the universities,” accusing PSK of “once again tampering with the students’ votes.”
