EYDAP has submitted to RAAEY a proposal for fixed increases of €6 per quarter in residential bills, percentage increases in business tariffs and relief measures for vulnerable groups. The proposal has been put to public consultation until 28.12.2025.

Residential charges will remain unchanged, but the monthly fixed fee for water supply will increase by €1 and a new monthly sewerage fee of €1+VAT will be introduced. This means that fixed costs, from €1 per month, will reach approximately €3.48 per month (including VAT). As EYDAP bills on a quarterly basis, the change in bills will begin to be gradually implemented from January 2026 onwards.

As EYDAP’s billing is carried out every quarter, the change in bills will begin to be gradually implemented from January 2026 onwards.

This will be the first increase in any part of the EYDAP bill after approximately 17 years of stable charges. No new charges are expected to be considered until the start of the next regulatory period, that is until 2029-30, meaning citizens are not expected to see another revision over the next four years.

Vulnerable households will be exempt from the tariff adjustment and will in fact see reductions, as fixed charges will be set to zero. Beneficiaries of the discount include those under the social tariff scheme, large families and low-income elderly people. Industrial and other non-residential customers, on the other hand, are expected to face higher charges, with the aim of encouraging more rational water consumption and placing greater emphasis on resource reuse.

From these two fixed fees arises the horizontal increase of €6 per quarter. This means an automatic 50% increase for very small consumers who were paying €12 until now. For a couple who may have been paying €20 per quarter, the €6 represents a 30% increase. For a family previously charged €30, the €6 represents a 20% increase, Ef.Syn. reports as a characteristic example.
