A 21-year-old man murdered his mother early on Monday morning at their home in Larissa following an argument. He was arrested by the police. According to the coroner, the woman sustained stab wounds to the chest and abdomen. [1], [2], [3]
The man cleaned the house to remove evidence and called his cousin to help move the body outside. However, they were spotted by a neighbor, who alerted the police. The two were arrested after attempting to flee.
The parricide is believed to have killed his mother more than 14 hours before moving the body outside the house.
The parricide confessed to his crime and is expected to appear before the prosecutor today, along with his cousin.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the argument, with the 21-year-old stating that financial reasons led him to kill his mother, and whether his 22-year-old cousin was involved. The cousin claims he was unaware of the real reason his cousin called him.
